there are three possible out comes right now, cse obama win, close romne win o b romneyin and if you talk to some republicans, both connected to the campaign and one step away from the center of the campaign they are starting to talk about the possibility and you see in the republicans movement into pennsylvania, minnesota, and perhaps michigan the possibility that they are not just trying to hedge their bets or trying to expand the map out of desperation but a real belief this thing could be bigger, an oregon polls that show the shows the race close, certainly closer than the president won four years ago i thinthe momenms with romney and the obama people are not just spinning when they say, look, out of that first debate in denver he doesn't have momentum where he overwhelmed us he brought home the base be does president's in number has not chanced by any means but pretty pistol hid and that means governor romney has upward momentum or has had it, maybe that has stalled we don't really though but the president does not have bad momentum he is not collapsing in any way, i think that the momentum

' right he has a glossy new you brochure. i looked at that brochure and i played this role of obama during debate prep and it is more of the same. you can argue that we need to do more of the same but it hasn't worked and it hasn't worked by president obama's own when he surements. he said unemployment would be 50% lower today than it is if we just passed the stimulus package. he said economic growth would be two thirds higher than it actually is. it hants worked. the one thing he does have in the new proposal is to raise taxes on about a million small businesses including a lot here in ohio. that will result according to a study by the national federation of independent businesses which a 700,000 job loss which we can't afford. governor romney instead has pro posed progrowth policies including a tax reform proposal that lowers the rate of taxation but makes the tax code far more efficient and simplifies it and that will result in 7 million new jobs over the next ten years. that is the choice people have. in ohio they are choosing mitt thusy and that is where aenthusiasm is. >> the two cam

like to set the country right side up. they understand president obama has been the leader in turning this country around, so much so that its growth and job creation keeps going up and up. they like to see an optimistic approach to government. that's what president obama has. they're also big believers in education. for a candidate like mitt romney who wants to abolish the department of education, we think we have a greater message for the independents, for women. we certainly are protecting women's health care. those are issues the independents are interested in. as well as the economy. who are they going to choose? someone who sides with sort of the antiquated views of abolishing or eliminated planned parenthood and attacking women's health care or look to someone who believes in embracing all of america. that's an optimistic view. we're optimistic and working hard and we really believe that nments along with those who are champions of president obama's cause will come to recognize that america is greater when we're united together. that's how the vote will turn out on november 6th

't think obama plus four is the right number in ohio and here is why. >> bill: what was your number by the way? >> we had it tied. 47, 47. suffolk listed all the candidates on the ballots. a couple of things of on those polls that i noticed. number one cuyahoga county was weighted at 13%. the truth about cuyahoga county from 2004 to 2008 the total votes cast in ohio went up 100,000 if you add up all the candidates but in cuyahoga county, between 2004 and 2008 which was a big year for barack obama, cuyahoga county casted less ballots in the election in 2008 than 2004. the relative strength of cuyahoga has dropped to 11% north 13%. >> bill: that's very favorable to barack obama. that's the cleveland area. so, if they are weighting that in a heavy way. >> at 13% instead of 11%. >> bill: it's reality that the vote is dropping there. it's going to be better for romney. >> true. >> bill: do you trust rasmussen, larry? you are pretty outspoken about these polls. remember, scott was on it the last time and the time before that scott hit it right between the eyes. >> no, i know scott quite w

years of obama. wow. you see folks on the left dismissing the value of this. on the right they'll make a big deal about it. i came upon a fun study from 2008. brown university economists found that when moderate papers endorse they're seen as mort credible. when a partisan paper does it, not so much. when the chicago sun times and "denver post" endorsed kerry and bush, the study found 3% of readers switched voting allegiance. they flipped their allegiances in 2000. i have to say, i think an interesting number that matters is when you compare the endorsement numbers, obama has 34 endorsement from major, significant papers. romney has 27. look at the circulation of those endorsements. obama's total just over 9 million readers. >> 27? >> and mitt romney is at 27 and not 7. his total circulation just under 5 million. so i don't know that this is a scientific reading of those numbers, but you have to imagine 9 million readers reading obama endorsement, 5 million readers reading romney. i have to imagine that ends up as a net plus for obama somewhere down the line. let's just quickly ask "de
